If you are experiencing a family illness, a difficulty in communicating with those who matter most to you, or have recently lost a loved one, you’ve come to the right place. Whether you are going through this struggle on your own or others around you are also affected by it, I will provide you with a safe space and a non-judgmental environment. Regardless of how new or old these painful experiences are, I am here to help you and assure quality treatment so that your journey through life will be lighter and a more positive experience.
Perhaps you simply do not know where to turn. Perhaps you have no one who will listen to what you are feeling on the inside. You might also feel that you cannot turn to your partner and truly be heard. I will not only listen to you but help treat your issues both individually as well as with the help of your loved ones.
Call me today to begin to make sense of your struggles and allow me to shed light on your areas of growth. Sometimes all it takes is one phone call for your entire life to change!
If you identify as gay, lesbian, transgender, or transsexual, please note that I am an affirmative therapist
Have you experienced non-affirmative therapists in the past? Not here! If you feel that you are struggling to come out, if you or your partner have trouble identifying the appropriate way to come out to family, or if you or your partner are going through a sex change, I am also qualified to help. I am an LGBTQ-affirmative therapist who has had experience in treating gay and lesbian issues. I firmly believe both professionally and personally that through empirically supported and adequate intervention, our community as a whole may have a significantly lowered rate of trauma, grief, depression, and relationship issues.
Couple and Family Problems
I have extensive experience in crisis management as I have treated individual clients as well as couples and families who very recently experienced a trauma and needed therapy. I utilize the systemic approach, which has been empirically supported in the last few decades. It also has been shown to be just as effective therapeutically to families as individual treatment. While learning this model, I incorporated the systemic view that when someone has been affected by a trauma, it not only happens on an individual level but occurs within the entire family. I understand that this may be one of the most difficult times of your life, and respect the courage it takes to work through this. Contact me today, and we’ll work together to get you on the right path.
