About Anna Beth

I work with adults and couples navigating sexual shame, porn or sex addiction, religious trauma, grief, and the effects of childhood abuse, including PTSD symptoms and difficulty connecting with others. None of that needs to be sorted into one clean category before you reach out, most people arrive carrying more than one thread at once.

Sex should be something you actually enjoy, not something burdensome or filled with stress. Whether the issue is low desire, sexual dysfunction, or insecurities you’re carrying on your own, I help you name what’s actually going on and build back toward confidence and real connection, with a partner or with yourself.

I’m an affirming therapist, including for the LGBTQ+ community, and I recognize that religious trauma can sometimes mean living through shame tied specifically to sexual orientation or gender. You don’t need to explain that history to me before we can get to the actual work.

You’re not alone in this. Together, I want to help you process what’s happened, understand it, and grow in confidence wherever you currently are, working from where you’re coming from toward where you actually want to go.

If this feels like the right fit so far, schedule a time so we can explore how therapy might help.

Who I Work With

Sex Therapy for Sexual Concerns and Dysfunctions

Whether it's low sexual desire, sexual dysfunction, or shame around sex, I can help you identify what's actually going on, in a relationship or entirely on your own. Sex should be something you enjoy, not something burdensome or filled with stress, and I work with you to build back toward real sexual confidence and connection.

I'm a current CSAT candidate, working specifically with porn addiction and out of control sexual behavior. If you're carrying shame around this, you don't need to have it fully sorted out before reaching out, that's part of what we work through together.

Religion should be a resource, but for some, it becomes a place of abuse and trauma instead, stripping away identity and making it hard to live authentically. This can lead to depression, anxiety, and self-esteem issues well into adulthood. For LGBTQ+ folks specifically, this often means living through shame tied to sexual orientation or gender, and I bring an affirming approach to helping you heal, grow, and accept yourself.

If you're working through the effects of childhood abuse, you may be carrying shame, guilt, difficulty connecting with others, or PTSD symptoms you didn't necessarily expect to still be dealing with. I approach this work without judgment, at whatever pace actually fits you.

I work with generalized anxiety and chronic depression, whether it's something you've lived with for a long time or something newer that's caught you off guard. This work often overlaps with the trauma, identity, and relational patterns covered elsewhere here, but it doesn't have to, you don't need another reason attached to it to make it worth addressing.

I offer a safe, non-judgmental place to explore your sexuality, your LGBTQ+ identity, or how to connect more authentically with a partner. This is a space where you get to figure out who you are, not defend it.

At some point we all face a loss, a partner, a family member, even a cherished pet. I know how hard it can be to heal while still trying to carry on with your life, and I help you move forward with value, while finding new experiences and relationships worth having.
